Why Microneedling 1. Stimulates collagen production Microneedling is often referred to as collagen induction therapy. Collagen is a structural protein that keeps your skin strong and resilient. Production of this youth-promoting protein decreases as you get older, which contributes to the development of the lines and wrinkles. The tool we use triggers the self-healing mechanism in your skin, which includes an increase in the production of collagen. 2. Smooths out lines and wrinkles By upping the production of collagen, microneedling restores your skin’s strength and elasticity, which improves firmness to smooth out those fine lines and wrinkles to make them less visible. You may experience some redness following your session, but there’s no need for downtime. You can resume your usual activities afterward. We do, however, recommend you be diligent about the use of sunblock to protect your skin as it heals and rejuvenates. 3. Improves skin tone The sun isn’t a friend to your skin. In addition to accelerating the breakdown of collagen, too much sun can cause areas of hyperpigmentation on your face and hands, or what we refer to as sun spots. The microneedling helps break up your hyperpigmented skin, while at the same time improving cell turnover to give you a more even complexion. 4. Dear customers. When you miss an appointment with us, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time. Additionally, sometimes our staff will be functioning in an "on call" status and can have traveled to the spa specifically for your service.
